The Studio

NUR Living Lights is an experiential light studio working at the intersection of art and science.

The studio develops large-scale sculptural light structures integrated into architecture and public space.

Select commissions are undertaken internationally, with a focus on spatial presence, structural clarity, and experiential impact.

The studio’s sculptural vision is presented in the publication Unseen Architectures, exploring invisible spatial structures through light and form.

Founder & Creative Direction

Trained as an industrial engineer at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (Barcelona), Gabriel Fontanillo Riesco brings a rigorous understanding of structure, material behavior and energetic systems to his sculptural practice.

Engineering serves as a medium.

The aim is experiential: to create luminous structures that resonate beyond function, inviting awareness, contemplation, and connection.

After a decade of work across North America, NUR Living Lights now operates internationally from southern Europe, creating large-scale sculptural installations for hospitality and public environments.
